(PHOENIX)
The Phoenix Polar Bears is proud to support the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, November 7 at 8:00 at Tempe Town Lake for the 8th straight year.

The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM)) is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

“This is the most important game of the season by far,” commented Head Coach Harry Mahood. “There is really nothing more sacred to a hockey player than their Grandmother, Mother, Mother in law, Wife, Girlfriend, Aunt or Sister.” “Taking care of our girls is a sacred time honored tradition for hockey players.” “With this in mind we are excited to Walk, support and raise much needed funds for those we hold dearest on Nov. 7th.”

In addition to the Walk on November 7th, the Polar Bears will be wearing special “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ jerseys for their next 12 games and will then auction them off with all funds raised going to the American Cancer Society.

Fans and friends of the Polar Bears and this great cause can show their support by purchasing limited edition Polar Bear Pink T Shirts, Walking on November 7, bidding on the collectible jerseys or simply making a small donation to the making Strides Against Breast Cancer Polar Bear Team Page.
